Chalet Dorferhaus is spread over three floors and offers a total of seven bedrooms. On the ground floor, you will find a double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom featuring both a bath and shower. This floor also includes the cosy living and dining area, a separate seating corner where you can relax with a book, and the heated ski storage room.
On the first floor, there is a double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, a triple bedroom with an ensuite bathroom without a toilet, and a single bedroom with access to a shared bathroom with a bath and a separate toilet in the hallway.
The second floor has two triple bedrooms and one double bedroom. These rooms share bathroom facilities. The bedrooms and hallways feature the same traditional Austrian character as the rest of the chalet.
With room for up to 16 guests, your entire group can stay together under one roof. The shared spaces are warm and inviting, although at full occupancy they can feel quite cosy. Groups looking for particularly spacious living areas may therefore prefer one of the larger alternatives within our chalet collection.
Catered ski holiday with the Wens Chalets concept
With the Wens Chalets concept, our chalet hosts take care of much of the day-to-day organisation during your stay. Breakfast is prepared for you every morning and, on six evenings, a freshly prepared three-course dinner is served. Selected drinks, including beer, house wine, soft drinks, coffee and tea, are also included during your stay.
Bed linen, towels, free Wi-Fi and final cleaning are included as well. When you arrive, a clean and prepared chalet will be waiting for you, while your chalet hosts help create a welcoming and well-cared-for atmosphere throughout the week. After skiing, there is no need for the whole group to go grocery shopping, cook dinner or arrange restaurant reservations every evening.
For a group of up to 16 people, that makes a ski holiday considerably easier. After a day on the slopes, simply store your skis or snowboard in the heated ski room and relax while dinner is being prepared.

One of the main advantages of Chalet Dorferhaus is its location. The chalet is situated right in the centre of Gerlos, putting the ski lift, shops, restaurants and après-ski venues within easy reach.
This is also reflected clearly in guest experiences. One guest described the chalet as being approximately a five-minute walk from the gondola and only two minutes from the après-ski. The guest also noted that the chalet is well insulated, meaning very little outside noise was experienced during the night.
For guests choosing Gerlos for its combination of skiing and lively après-ski, this central location is a major advantage. After an evening of après-ski, there is no need to take a bus or taxi back to accommodation outside the village: you can simply walk back to your own chalet. Parking spaces at Chalet Dorferhaus can be booked for an additional €10 per car per day.
Ski holidays in the Zillertal Arena
From Gerlos, you have direct access to the Zillertal Arena, a large and varied ski area in Austria. The ski area offers plenty of terrain for both recreational and experienced skiers and snowboarders, making it a good choice for groups whose members have different abilities or prefer different plans during the day.
During the day, everyone can choose their own pistes and routes before meeting up again in Gerlos and Chalet Dorferhaus at the end of the ski day. This combination of an extensive ski area and one private group chalet makes Dorferhaus suitable for families, groups of friends and corporate ski trips.
Besides skiing, Gerlos is well known for its lively après-ski scene, including popular venues such as Cin-Cin and Seppi’s.
