Every group travels differently. Some guests want to pass on dietary requirements in advance, while others mainly want to know about room arrangements, parking, facilities for children or additional options during their stay. This page gives an overview of practical matters that are often discussed beforehand, so you know what to expect and we can work with you, where possible, to arrange a stay that suits your group perfectly.
At Wens Chalets, we appreciate it when special wishes are known in advance. With over 50 years of experience in catered chalet holidays, we know that good preparation makes all the difference to a pleasant stay. Some matters can be arranged quite easily, while other wishes depend on the chalet, the destination or the composition of your group.
Do you have specific questions or wishes? We recommend discussing these with us as early as possible. This allows us to inform you properly and, where possible, make preparations for a pleasant and well-cared-for stay.
Do you or one of your fellow travellers have an allergy or dietary requirement? Please let us know no later than two weeks before departure via info@wens.nl. Our chalet hosts will do their utmost to take this into account during your stay, so everyone can enjoy breakfast and dinner with peace of mind.
Please note that the range and availability of products at the destination may differ from what you are used to in the Netherlands. For this reason, we cannot guarantee that allergies or dietary requirements communicated at a later stage can still be fully taken into account.
Where possible, Wens Chalets takes vegan, vegetarian and halal dietary requirements into account. In some cases, it may be useful to bring specific products yourself, so our chalet hosts can respond to your wishes as well as possible.
In the case of severe or life-threatening allergies, you remain responsible for the preparation and consumption of food yourself. In these cases, we unfortunately cannot provide full guarantees. Are you unsure whether your dietary requirement or allergy fits within our formula? Please feel free to contact us in advance.
The room layout is an important consideration for many guests, especially when travelling with several couples, a family, colleagues or a mixed group. The layout differs per chalet: some chalets have many rooms with a private bathroom, while other chalets are arranged differently.
We therefore recommend carefully checking the layout of the chalet in advance. A floor plan is available for each chalet on our website. If you still have questions afterwards, please contact us. This way, you know which chalet best suits your group and your wishes regarding privacy and comfort.
Bed linen and towels are included in your stay. The beds are made up for you on arrival, but are not made up again during your stay. For a weekly stay, it is possible to have towels replaced on Tuesday. If you would like to use this service, please place the towels to be replaced on the bathroom floor. Towels that do not need replacing can simply be left hanging for sustainability reasons.
Are you travelling with children? We are happy to think along with you about practical matters relating to meals for our youngest guests. Every year, our culinary managers put together a children’s menu tailored to young guests. This means there is also attention at the table for meals that suit children during their stay in the chalet. In many cases, it is possible for children to eat earlier and separately from the adults. This allows them to dine at a suitable time, while the adults can later enjoy the three-course dinner at a more relaxed pace.
For families with young children, it is often important to know whether facilities such as cots and high chairs are available. In every chalet, it is possible to place a high chair and a cot, provided this is requested in advance. This concerns a foldable travel cot measuring 60 x 120 cm. Would you like to make use of this? Please let us know well before departure. We can then ensure these facilities are ready for you on arrival.
Many guests travel to their winter sports destination by car. Parking options differ per chalet and destination. We therefore recommend consulting the chalet information in advance or discussing this with us. At the following chalets, parking is only possible for a fee of € 10 per car per day: Alpensport, Dorferhaus, Eisfall, Elfriede, Gretl, Hans, Landa, Tirolerhof and Tirolerhof Apart.
If you are travelling with an electric car, please note that charging via sockets or other facilities not intended for this purpose in or around the chalet is not permitted. You must use official charging points in the area.
In many areas, ski and snowboard equipment can be reserved in advance, sometimes with a Wens Chalets discount, depending on the ski area. In your travel documents, which you receive seven weeks before departure, you will find more information about ski hire and any discount options. Ski passes and ski lessons should be booked directly with the local provider.
Would you like to make your stay in a catered chalet even more complete? At Wens Chalets, you can choose from various additional packages that add extra convenience, atmosphere or moments of indulgence to your ski holiday. Additional packages are booked per group and per week and can be reserved up to two weeks before departure via info@wens.nl.

Would you like to bring your pet on your ski holiday? Please always let us know in advance. Pets are only allowed on request and only in selected chalets that are rented privately. This allows us to check together which accommodation is suitable for you and your pet.
Does someone in your group have specific wishes regarding accessibility or mobility? Please discuss this with us in advance. Not every chalet is arranged in the same way: the location, entrance, stairs and room layout can differ per accommodation. By informing us in good time, we can look together at which chalet best suits your situation.
Many practical questions can be solved easily, as long as they are known in time. We therefore recommend sharing special wishes, questions or points of attention with us as early as possible. This fits the Wens Chalets formula: a ski holiday in which much has already been arranged, but where there is also room, where possible, to take your group’s wishes into account.
