Flachau is an elongated village with a small but very charming centre. The municipality is in the state of Salzburg and is best known as a ski village. The village is at an altitude of 925 meters and the highest point is the Griessenkar at 1990 meters. Flachau is easily accessible by car and by plane (Salzburg, 60 minutes drive).

Families with children, students, ski instructors, and everyone else dance and party together. It is a village for the young and old which is noticeable during the après-ski.

There are three different locations in the village where you can go up with the lift. All lifts are easily accessible via the free ski buses, with plenty of bus stops throughout the village.

Salzburger Sportwelt

Salzburger Sportwelt is composed of many different villages with more than 350 kilometres of slopes at its disposal. It is a reasonably large ski region.

The ski area has approximately 100, mostly modern ski lifts. Due to the very modern lifts in Flachau, the flow is fast and there are hardly any queues. This ensures that you are quickly back on top of the mountain ready for your next slope. Skiing in the Salzburger Sportwelt is varied, challenging, and enjoyable for all ages and levels. The slopes are mainly blue and red, but black slopes are also present. The ski area has three places where you can make a valley descent, making it possible for both experienced and novice skiers to ski towards the valley. The entire ski area can be reached with just one ski pass. Salzburger Sportwelt is also suitable for beautiful day trips.
